I found these trees clinging with tenacity to the rock shelf along the NCR trail. They were doing exactly what was spoken of in the book of Job. The passage quoted are the words Job’s friend, Bildad who describes how an unjust sinner clings to everything but God. Job continued to cling to hope tenaciously that God would speak to him. In the end, it was the sufferer who was answered and the self-appointed critic who was reproved.
